Bibliomania was made famous Stephen “the book bandit” Blumberg for amassing almost 24,000 books. He apparently stole these books from over 300 libraries and museums over 45 states, 2 Canadian provinces and the District of Columbia. His collection of books was worth more than $5 million. His neighbor eventually turned him in to the FBI.

Bibliomania is described as the hoarding of books. I am often accused of this, but all of mine I come by legally. But what I find most interesting is that he was being hunted by the FBI.
