I have never been much of a bathtub reader. Why? Frankly, I think that I am too lazy for this luxury. But I do often think about becoming one. And there are plenty of blogs out there giving you endless tips on perfecting the bathtub read, which sounds like work. The idea of having enough time to draw a bath with just the right amount of Bath and Body Works’ Coco Paradise Body Wash while sipping on a drink and lighting that new Bath and Body Works’ Book Loft candle is appealing.
But it is a fantasy because I like my baths hot. Not just warm…but “I better be mistaken for a lobster” hot. And considering that when I settle in to read, it is for a considerable amount of time, and how am I suppose to keep the water hot? Fish tank heaters? Not likely.
Rounding up the products, like the candle and the bamboo tray (not to mention that I do not have the tray. This is going to require endless research on Amazon.) will take additional time. And where is the lighter?
And the drink? Most would be excited to poor themselves a drink, but what to drink? Do I have all the ingredients? The garnish? I can’t forget the garnish. I will need a snack in there. Again more work.
This requires careful planning. I just cannot come home and dive right in the tub. And let’s face facts, once I do get this accomplished someone is going to be at the front door, calling on the telephone, or demanding some attention. So, what is the solution?
My advice find a good audiobook (tune them out) and hot tub.
